That’s a reduction of £80 from its £380 RRP, and for those where space is at a premium, this 43-inch TV will likely hit the spot.
Samsung has been on a great run recently with its budget TVs and the TU7100 is another enjoyable effort from the manufacturer. Our 4.5-star review of the TV said it offered “amazing value for money by delivering picture quality that’s a cut above anything else you’ll find for less than £400.” Well now it’s even less.
For £299 you get a very decent spec that includes eARC connectivity (if you fancy hooking up an Atmos soundbar), support for HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, and Samsung’s own Tizen OS. Tizen delivers a huge amount of streaming apps from Netflix and Apple TV, to Spotify and BBC Sounds. While it doesn’t support Freeview Play, fret not: all the UK catch-up and on-demand apps are available.
Considering its size, the UE43TU7100 is a perfect fit for smaller spaces or a second room. And it boasts Samsung’s class-leading gaming input lag, producing a very snappy performance from any gaming console or PC connected to it. Don’t expect this set to be suited to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, though. It doesn’t have the new-fangled features to take advantage of what the next-gen consoles can offer.
Picture quality is much better than what’s normally expected of TVs around this price, with natural-looking colours and solid black levels. While HDR performance is limited given its size and price, you’ll still get a boost from it, especially with HDR10+ content
Quite frankly the Samsung UE43TU7100 was already great value at its original RRP. Its reduction in time for Black Friday makes it even better value.
