Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State on Friday denied his rumoured plan to return to his former party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
A chieftain of the PDP, Dr Isaac Nkolez had claimed that Umahi was making his way back to the PDP.
Gov. Umahi left the PDP to All Progressives Congress (APC)
last year, citing marginalisation
of the South-East region by the
Party.
In a statement by Umahi’s Special Assistant on Media,
Mr Francis Nwaze on Friday
titled ‘Governor David Nweze
Umahi is at home in APC; ignore news of possible return to
PDP”, said the rumour was untrue and should be disregarded.
