Executives and members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Surulere local government donated items to the orphanage home in celebration of the 60th birthday of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, o Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
The delegate, led by the local government party chairman, Hon Fuad Kayode Laguda in company of executives, ward chairmen and party members, made the donation to the Heart of Gold Children Auspice Hospice, Surulere.
Items donated include variety of food stuffs, toiletries, disinfectants and others.
Speaking at the presentation, the party chairman, Hon Fuad Laguda pointed out that the donation was done to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Speaker, Federal House of Representatives.
In his words, he said “We made the token donation to the Heart of Gold Children Hospice to thank Almighty Allah for the life and in celebration of the 60th birthday of our leader, icon and Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
“Mr Speaker is a humanitarian and someone who has people at heart and that is obvious from his selflessness for national development and unity. This is one of the reasons the executives of APC Surulere decided to replicate his attribute and give to others.
“On behalf of the executive, leaders and members of APC Surulere, I pray to the almighty to grant him long life, prosperity, sound health, ability and wisdom to carry on with his strides in ensuring the dividends of democracy to all, regardless of affiliation.
I wish him more success”, he prayed.
