The Federal Goverment has banned
the use of foreign
models and voiceover artists in the Nigerian
advertising space.


Olalekan Fadolapo, the
Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council
of Nigeria (ARCON), made
this known in a statement on
Monday.
According to the statement,
the directive which takes effect
from October 1, follows the
Federal Government’s policy
to grow the country’s advertising industry.
“In line with the Federal
Government’s policy of developing local talent, inclusive economic growth and
the need to take necessary
steps and actions aimed at

growing the Nigerian advertising industry, the Advertising Regulatory Council
of Nigeria (ARCON).
