Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s agent has slammed Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s tactics with a damning Instagram post.

The Gunners captain failed to make an impact in the north London derby as Tottenham saw their rivals off 2-0.

And it was a bad day for the 31-year-old, who did not register a shot on target, create a chance or take on a Spurs player.

But his agent Kwaku Mensah, who managed to broker a £250,000-a-week deal for his client over the summer, believes his bad form is a product of Arteta’s tactics.

The businessman posted a screen grab on Instagram of Sky Sports’ coverage, which showed Arsenal’s Premier League ranking for certain statistics.

Arsenal have scored 10 goals in 11 Premier League game, the fourth-worst in the league, while their 32 shots on target give the Gunners a ranking of equal-18th.

But the worst one is “chances created”, with their 65 putting the north London side equal bottom in the top flight

Sharing this image on his Instagram story, Mensah appeared to put the blame for Aubameyang’s form at Arteta’s door as he wrote: “If you create chances…”

The Gunners conceded the first goal after 13 minutes, allowing Son Heung-Min to run at the defence before the Korean launched a whipped shot into the top-right corner.

With a minute of the first half left, Spurs then pounced on Thomas Partey’s injury to counter-attack and give Harry Kane a shot from six yards.

And the manager was left furious with his transfer deadline-day signing, who was far out of position for the second goal.

Speaking about the loss at full-time, Arteta said: “This is football.

“They have one shot on goal. Score a wonder goal. The second we get done on the break. Thomas is injured, not in position, he has to fall on the floor and we get the second one done.

“I saw my team full of desire, passion, dominating the game, creating all the chances, creating all the situations but at the end it’s all about the end product and this is why they are first in the table.

“They have two situations, they score two goals. I think we had 32 crosses, I don’t know how many shots, only two on target. We have to carry on, keep fighting and be the team we were today but improving those details.”

Arsenal’s latest loss saw fans make a plea for his predecessor Unai Emery to make a return.
